Whether you're coming from the metropolitan DC
area (45 minutes away) or Baltimore (one hour
away), Lahara Textiles is an easy drive that will
bring you to a rural paradise, protected by
Montgomery County and the State of Maryland.
Combine your visit to Lahara Studio and Gallery
with a gourmet meal at the Comus Inn, a drive or
hike to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain, a stroll on
the C & O Canal Towpath (and the recently restored
Aqueduct), a stop at a local orchard, a bike ride
through the countryside, or even a horseback ride.
TO GET TO LAHARA TEXTILES: The most scenic, and easiest, route is to take 270 (North or South) to exit 22 (Barnesville and Hyattstown). At the end of the exit, turn in the direction marked for Barnesville onto Route 109. Travel 5.2 miles until Route 109 ends. Turn right onto Barnesville Road. Lahara Textiles is the fifth building on the right hand side. Parking is on the right side of the building.
