Lahara is the Sanskrit word for wave from which Lahariya, a resist dyeing
technique practiced in India, derives its name. The Lahariya technique
binds cloth in specific areas to shield it from the dye. Lahara's founder
chose this word to honor this age-old method of working with fiber.
